I am terrified of getting sick during cold/flu season, even more so now with H1N1 going around! I must wash my hands at least 10 times a day. It’s good for keeping the germs away, terrible for the skin on my hands and cuticles! My only remedy is a good hand lotion. I’ve tried them all, but now my search is over! ‘Glove Me Tender’ is from the True Blue Spa line at Bath and Body Works and this is a SERIOUS moisturizer and one you don’t need to constantly reapply. I think it’s better than a paraffin treatment! It has skin brighteners that improve the appearance of sun spots and luxurious shea butter that envelops your hands with a protective moisture barrier. This also has antioxidants that control against damaging free radicals. To top it off, this also has an SPF 15 to protect against sun damage and premature aging. Seriously my hands feel buttery soft after using this, even my manicurist noticed that my cuticles weren’t raggedy anymore!
$13.50 or 2 for $20 right now at BathandBodyWorks

I am a mascara junkie… I’ve tried almost every one from designer to drugstore. My problem isn’t necessarily that I don’t have length but my lashes are puny and thin. I want lashes that are long AND look like a thick fringe. My other wants? Must come in waterproof and regular formulas, not be too hard to apply, not have a watery consistency and no smudges! (I told you I was demanding!) I can’t believe I have found my holy grail mascara in a drugstore brand. Maybelline’s Colossal Volum’ Express Mascara does all of the above and best of all it’s cheap! So you don’t have to feel bad about tossing it every three months as recommended.

Fake Nails. I don’t care if your nails won’t grow or you use this as your excuse to not have to deal with polishing your nails every week. Fake nails ALWAYS look fake and most are downright tacky. Short groomed nails look best whether you get them done or do them at home. If you don’t have time to polish them that’s o.k. Just keep them trimmed and buffed or put on a coat of clear polish. Let’s face it, you aren’t fooling anyone with those “permanent frenches.” Two products I swear by for at home manicures. Creative Nail Design’s Stickey Base Coat and Creative Nail Design’s Super Shiny Top Coat. Both will give you a salon worthy manicure.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve been known to pull some late nights (who’s to say a Saturday night has to end before Sunday brunch!) and some even longer days (still have to pay those Amex bills!).
Losing sleep doesn’t worry me, but making sure I look fabulous throughout all my escapades is! With the must-have clutches the size of coin purses, forget about stashing a makeup bag for touch-ups on the go. Your makeup has to stay put until you decide to take if off! My ultimate must-have item to avoid those disgusting oily eyeshadow creases is Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion. I swear by this amazing potion and have convinced countless friends to try it too (they’re now all avid believers!). At $17, it is easy on the pocket and promises to keep your eyeshadow looking fabulous for hours.

As most S+F girls already know, I’m obsessed with eyelashes. Never one blessed with a thick fringe, I’m constantly on the search for something to make my lashes worthy of batting! My new favorite tool- Sephora’s heated eyelash curler. I admit, it takes a bit of getting use to, but once you get the hang of it- it’s priceless! Forget about the sharp bends caused by traditional eyelash curlers. This small wand will gently curl and set your lashes and it’s only $16!!! Now just a swipe of mascara and I’m ready for a night out…
