Ikat is everywhere. I’ve seen it done bad and I’ve seen it done amazingly. I think the key is sticking to this bold trendy print in a palette of neutrals with just a pop or two of color. More than that and I think you run the danger of being completely overwhelmed by your outfit. (NOT a good thing!). Gucci has redeemed themselves (slightly) in my eyes with this fab number.

Fashion IS art and sometimes you come across things so beautiful that they take your breath away, no matter how impractical they would be to actually wear! Such is the case with Giuseppe Zanotti’s newest bootie. I literally stopped in my tracks when I saw them - they are that gorgeous. At $1250 I would never buy these. I can’t imagine you could wear these more than a couple of times before they look worn. (I never buy white leather sandals for this reason). But still, simply stunning! Imagine them with Gucci’s modern white dress. I would die! Booties $1250, dress $2495 at Neiman’s.
Ok, so I usually love everything Gucci. But this season’s ready to wear line just reminds me of fembots! I keep expecting machine guns to pop out of the boobs! It just doesnt look tough in that sexy, rocker, yet feminine way. Maybe it looks better in person? I guess I’m just not a fan. Thoughts?
