kitties, finally feels like winter is here and with that comes a new host of delightfully dark nail polish colors!! We all know that ”greige” (beigey gray) is the new classic color for the season, but sometimes it is just too drab for me. Enter Essie’s Smokin’ Hot (from the 2010 Winter collection).

I love that it has purple tones which kick up the gray and make it more feminine. adore!!! and of course my staple winter favorite is OPI’s We’ll Always Have Paris.

Yes, it is an oldie (but a goodie!!!) I think it stems from the Winter 2008 collection… anyway, I adore both! next time you’re heading to the nail salon for a quick mani/pedi give them a try. I bet you won’t be disappointed!

Yes, that’s the actual name. OPI’s “Cuckoo for this color” and I really am! Part of the Fall 2010 Swiss collection, this is a gorgy-porge deep metallic teal green. Dark enough to be vampy (a la the original Chanel Vamp!), but different enough to be noticed. Love!

I love the look of perfectly polished nails but I don’t have the time for weekly manicures and I don’t care for the look of acrylics. I read about OPI’s new Axxium gel nail system and I thought I would give it a try. Wow! It has been life changing! They look completely natural and they really do last 2 -3 weeks! OPI makes the colored gels in 26 of their most popular colors and once applied the coats are very thin and flexible. They have incredible shine and last for 2 -3 weeks – chip free. The downside is they must be done in a professional salon and their application does take longer than a regular manicure. But that is a small price to pay for not needing a weekly manicure! My salon charges $35 for this manicure, prices may vary in your area.

For you fashion obsessed techies, now you can match your nail polish shade to your laptop cover! Dell has partnered with OPI to bring you 26 coordinating laptop covers and nail polish shades! I know this is one of those things that men will never understand about women, but at $85, I think it’s adorable! Laptop shown below in OPI’s “I’m Not Really A Waitress” red.

I love OPI nail polish because it is one of the few brands that really lasts and they are always coming out with fun new colors. I love trying on all the new colors but I hate ruining my manicure to do so. Up until now I had no choice since we all know that the color in the bottle does not always look the same on our hands! Well OPI has solved this dilemma by a new tool on their website that allows you to try on ALL their colors virtually! You can even adjust the nail length and the the skin color of the tester hand to match your own. How cool is that!? Try it here OPI under the tab “Try This Color”
