Do my eyes deceive me or are these sandals from Michael Kors and Valentino nearly identical? Well scratch that…the Michael Kors sandals are made from leather and are $79. And the Valentino sandals are made from plastic PVC (yuck!) and are $295. Clearly a case of more is less!

What a colossal waste of $4700 dollars. (Yes $4700 - that is NOT a typo!) I realize that there are women out there for whom price is no object. And really, who am I to judge how other people spend their money? But seriously these are the fugliest, priciest and most impractical shoes I have ever seen, making them beyond decadent. Unless you are carried everywhere (and maybe if you can afford $4700 shoes you would be) the delicate lace on those pumps will snag and rip on their first wear. So IMO they really are beyond obscene. At Neiman’s.

Sigh. It had to happen. The second greatest love of my life, Valentino, decides to have a private sale right after I’m on a bag ban from the Gucci sale. Some absolutely amazing deals to be had like this patent nuage hobo originally $995 now only $597 in pink only. Perfect for going out and absolutely parfay for the summer. Sigh…. I am on a ban right? Shoes, ready to wear and accessories are also on sale. Private sale access here: Valentino.

When I saw the first tote below, I honestly thought it was Valentino. It looks very similar to a Valentino tote and the ruffles on the top is very Valentino-esque. So I was VERY shocked to see this was Tahari and only a fraction of the price! Tahari’s Melrose metallic tote is $498 vs. Valentino’s 360 hobo for $1895. Both bags are uber trendy so in this case, I’ll go for the less expensive one and buy myself the pair of Loubies below I have been coveting! All at Neiman’s.
